I’m Chris Barber, founder of CB Consultancy Services Ltd, and a business transformation specialist with over 20 years of experience in optimising performance, reducing costs, and leading strategic change.

I am passionate about driving sustainable business improvements, ensuring teams are engaged throughout the change journey. Known for delivering measurable results, I take ownership of every project, working closely with businesses to unlock efficiency, profitability, and long-term success.

Throughout my career, I’ve led transformation programmes across multiple industries, including hospitality, retail, call centres, fleet, field operations, telecoms, and construction.

London Telecoms Sector – In my first contracting role (2004), I led a major operational performance turnaround, improving efficiencies across London.
Advertising Industry (London Underground) – Streamlined processes and client expectations, delivering a £4M cost saving over two years.

Fleet Industry (UK National Operator) – Delivered major operating model transformation, overseeing projects from £1M to £50M and implementing a bespoke IT system, resulting in £20M annual cost savings and £3M added to the bottom line.
Plant & Fleet Business – Partnered with the Managing Director & Senior Leadership Team to guide transformation efforts and develop a five-year strategic plan.

Construction Project Management – Led multiple projects, optimising supplier management and increasing profit margins while defining a UK-wide strategy.
Traffic Management (PE-Backed National Business) – Provided governance and leadership coaching, leading to a £3M EBITDA uplift in a key region.
